This tower bar looks very nice, and was easy to install.The only thing I did not consider when purchasing it was that the 36" refers to the length of the actual towel bar "bar", not the distance between the mounting plates. I was hoping to install both ends on a wall stud, where the studs are the usual 18" apart (therefore 36" when skipping a stud). However, it was a couple of inches too short at the mounting plates, so one end still needed to use the provided wall plugs.Not the manufacturers fault, but mine. You can easily see the (approx) 1" overhang at the two ends, meaning the mount plates will be about 34" apart, not 36"!!Still a five star rating, as it seems pretty sturdy, fit-and-finish is very nice, and overall it looks pretty good. Good enough that I ordered the double-rail version for another bathroom.
